3 day 20 mile hike in Yosemite to Camp Vogelsang.

The strawberries are really tiny but yummy.  Quail are driving me crazy eating all the flower seedlings.  The best part of the garden this summer is the tomatoes and potatoes.

Happy to see the Redbuds in bloom, but no leaves on the oak trees yet.

Kevins favorite part of having a garden was the potatoes. He loved digging them up, then cooking & eating them. Mine was definitely the flowers.

Birdie update.

This is mom & dad. They spend the whole day taking turns feeding these big mouths. I think there are 5 of them.

While we were working in the garden this weekend, I noticed a bird had made a nest in the birdhouse I had put in the corner of the garden.

I went down to the garden today planning to get a picture of her. She was not there. When I peeked in all I could see was darkness. But the eye of my camera was luckier.

She must be out getting a worn, someone is going to be hungry.

Garden update, something has eaten my parsley & dill.

Potatos,tomatos,peppers,carrots,lettus,beans,corn,loveage,beets,swiss chard,strawberries,dill,oregano,cilantro,parsley,sage,rosemary& thyme.

Getting ready to plant. The vegetable garden is fenced 40'x80'and 8' tall to keep the deer out, hopefully!

Honey has now made 5 raised beds for the garden. The plans came out of the Sunset magazine.

Cars and Speedways are in Chad's blood. We have a relative that won the first Indy 500, Ray Harroun.

Gloria invited me for lunch for my birthday.  She made a Red Velvet Cake.

Born 1/7/44 Torrington Wyoming, My Brother Chuck was an absolute no frills person & requested no memorial or funeral service for his passing 11/28/08. But how do respect that and say good bye?

This is My brother Dean, sister Sherrie, me & brother Rolan. We love you brother , please understand. We miss you, and need to come together in rememberance of you.
